First Day Back and Keys To Learning Day

Today was our first day back and also our Keys to Learning day! The key that we focussed on this time was the Effective Participator key. The children were placed into random groups and had the task of desiging a piece of joint art work - in felt tip pen. They then had to come up with a shelter design that would keep their team and their piece of art work neat and dry. Although the weather was generally sunny today, there were some rogue winds and rain showers that did their best to wet the art work....and the teams! The teams were awarded points based on how well their art work survived, and how well they negotiated, shared ideas and points within their teams.
