A Flying Start!

We've had a wonderful first week back after half term and the children have been more wonderful than ever!

We've been enjoying learning our new story in English, Monkeys and Hats. We are going to be learning all about adjectives next week so that we will be ready to write even more whizzy stories inspired the story and we hope to share some of the children's work on SeeSaw so you can see how brilliant they are!

In maths we have been doing lots of addition and have just started subtraction and we have definitely got some number bonds to 10 experts now so well done to all of you who worked so hard on this over half term.

In art we've been looking at using colour to create explosive fireworks pastel drawings as well as learning to use a template and practice cutting to make some beautiful poppies ready for Remembrance Day next week.

We hope that you are all well, it's a tricky time but your wonderful children are certainly keeping us smiling!
