VE DAY Writing Task and ACtivities

Hello lovely Monkey Puzzle Class,

Next week is an exciting week with the celebration of VE day. There are some fun community 'stay at home' things happening in Keyworth such as suggested house decorating and picnics in your garden.

To help give a context and some understanding behind this special day, I have attached: a powerpoint, a reading comprehension activity (several levels so choose the one which is appropriate for your child), writing activity (diary) and wordsearch.

For the writing activity, please remind children to:

*use their best letterjoin handwriting 

*use full stops and capital letters correctly

*use interesting adjectives (describing words)

*to check it makes sense. 

Please send in some photos of this special day and how you celebrate, as well as some of the work your child produces.
