Supporting your reading at home

I am sure you are all really busy keeping on top of your reading at home. This is one activity that we recommend you do every day with your child to keep those key skills ticking over.

We have always recommended oxfordowls.co.uk as a brilliant resource to support reading at home; children enjoy the ebooks and it is easy to use. Essentially it is an online library with a wealth of books organised into different ways. At Crossdale, we use book banding to assess your child and books on here can be searched for in terms of the level your child is working at. If your child is unsure what colour band they are working at, please email the class teacher who will be able to help you.
