What a fabulous start for book week!

We had the most fantastic trip to the library yesterday to launch book week!

Our walk down gave us the opportunity to talk about what the weather was like and how it has been changing so much over the past few weeks.  We also walked past several houses or landmarks around the village that the children knew well which caused huge delight! :)

Oona from the library explained how the books were organised and we all chose two books to take home (due back in three weeks).

Then we found a story written by our author of the week, Tony Ross, and Oona finished off our visit by sharing it with us.

The children were beautifully behaved, as always, and were very excited about exploring their borrowed books! Well done Year One!
