World Book Day and Celebrations that WEEK

We have our wonderful book week happening  during the week of 2nd March.

There will be lots of fun book related activities happening at Crossdale during that week such as story swaps, paired reading, author studies and library visits.

The key information you need to know about is our magical dress up day (witches, wizards etc) which is happening on Thursday 5th March. There is also a themed lunch that day so please make sure your food order is in on time!

We will also be running a "decorate a wooden spoon" competition. All entries need to be in by Friday 6th March ready for judging. Wooden spoons should be decorated along the magical, wizardy theme.

As a Crossdale team, we will also be trying to read as many of the books on our hall display as possible (photo to be uploaded at a later date). There will be pictures of many books on this theme suitable for a variety of ages and abilities and we hope to be able to read all of these in a combined effort.

We are sure the children are going to love all these activities and that it will really engage them in their reading.
