A fabulous DT day!

On Wednesday this week, to complete our topic on London, we had the most fantastic DT day creating London landmarks. It was so wonderful to have so many grown-ups come into school to help bring London alive in the classroom. There were creative ideas aplenty and the children had to be expert team workers in order to build the models using a range of different joining techniques. Many, many thanks to those parents who came to join us!

The next day we put our map skills to the test to build a giant 3D map  of London on the playground. We had to work out where our landmarks would be positioned along the River Thames and then went on a river cruise past them all, showing off everything we'd learnt about the famous buildings and answering the geographical question 'What is London like?' ! Another great day!
