Library Trip 16.7.19

A final Readopoly Reading treat from a proud teacher!

Hello all,

I am excited to announce that on Tuesday 16th July, as a Readopoly Reading Diary treat, I have arranged for the children to visit Keyworth Library. Mrs. Ogilvy and I will take the children soon after registration and return in time for lunch, so that there will be no changed to the children's daily schedule.

As a class, Cedar has done such a fabulous job at keeping up the reading practice, and what’s more – reading a very wide variety of text types! When I was arranging the trip, the librarian I spoke to even commented that she recognised the children’s reading diaries, as she regularly sees children from our class visit the library with their diary in hand, asking for book recommendations! That really blew me away!

So I must therefore say thank you to you, grown-ups, as without your support and reading with the children, we would not have achieved the successes we have achieved with our enjoyment of reading this year.

As we will have the opportunity to take a book from the library, please ensure your child comes to school on Tuesday 16th July with their Library card. If they do not currently have their own library card, please come and collect a library card form from me this week, or alternatively fill it in at the Keyworth Library prior to your visit.

Many thanks,

Miss Rodriguez
