School Meals

Children at Crossdale can enjoy a delicious and nutritious meal from Mrs Stockdale and her staff as part of Nottinghamshire County Council's Education Catering Services.

Our new "Family Service" system for serving school dinners has been running for several weeks now and we are delighted with the children’s approach and attitude. The older children are supporting and caring for the younger ones, and all children are trying different foods. We really believe this helps to bolster the Crossdale Family ethos we try so hard to nurture.

We are delighted to note that the number of children staying for hot school meals has increased since the introduction of Family Service.

The cost of a two-course meal (vegetarians are catered for if school is notified in advance) is currently £2.10. Cheques should be made payable to 'N.C.C. Crossdale Primary School'. Please talk to Mrs Shipman or Miss Cuttell if you would like to pay in advance for the whole half term. Otherwise, meals for the week ahead should be booked and paid for on a Monday. We do have an electronic payment facility, allowing you to pay for school meals online - pop into the office for more information.

If your child has any special dietary needs, or you have any other concerns about your child and school meals, then please contact our Cook Supervisor, Mrs Stockdale.

Ingredients are sourced locally wherever possible and we also use some vegetables from the school's own allotment!
