Base Two Campfire!

Our forest school campfire was a great success! The children got to experience being around a campfire, toasted their own marshmallows (which were huge!) and created some wonderful shelters, which got water tested too! With some mixed results! We even had a visit from Mrs Ingle and Mrs Mellor who brought the Reception class out to see the campfire. Our whole afternoon as fantastic and we proved that we are all amazing team workers, creative thinkers and independent learners, well done Base Two!

Base Two Campfire

Forest Schools,

On Thursday 13th July we will be having a Forest Schools afternoon where we will be having a campfire. We have a variety of activities planned for the whole afternoon including shelter building, art, campfire cooking (marshmallow roasting) and much more!

Please ensure that the children bring all of their forest schools clothes for Thursday 13 July as we will go outside whatever the weather.

Thank you for your continued support.

Mrs Cox and Miss Spafford

Ancient Egyptian Museum!

Base 2 have been working extremely hard in their topic lessons about Ancient Egypt and would like to present their learning, and their creative homework, to their grown ups.  We would like to invite you to come to school to be shown around our Crossdale Museum this Wednesday.  We understand that this is short notice but if you would like to attend, please arrive at the front gate for 14:55 on Wednesday (24th) so that a member of staff can let you in.  The gate will be closed just after 15:00 but those who arrive after this time can still make their way through the office.  Thank you for your support in advance.  Miss Jackson and Mr Brierley.

Base 2 Dragster racing

We have now completed our dragsters, which we began last month as part of the British Science Week 2017. The children have used a whole plethora of engineering skills to make some fantastic machines on wheels! We will be holding the final very soon to see which dragsters will make it to the Rushcliffe competition!
